Sortly was created because "clean up my Drive" shouldn't require weekend afternoons or the risk of deleting the wrong thing. AI is powerful enough to understand your files. We use that carefully.
Our operating principles are simple:
- Move, never delete. The worst thing that happens to your file is Drive's own Trash.
- Reversible by default. Every batch is journalled, every action undoable.
- You approve, we execute. No autonomous file management.
- Show the AI's work. Confidence scores, descriptions, and reasoning are always visible.
- Review before action. Plans are explicit, direct shares are view-only, and names-only analysis is a real option.
Sortly is built by an independent team who's been through the pain of a 30,000-file Drive with folders like "Downloads", "Downloads (1)", "stuff", and "final_v3". We wanted a better way. Here it is.
